When the files are combined as one you can save as your book proof.

If your file is too large for the printers requirements (work on around 9MB) you will have to split it in two and send it in halves. In this case you must make two separate combined files.

When I submitted my proof I had to do that, due to the size of some of the files that contained graphics.

My book had 64 pages so I save files 1 – 40 on one combined file and 41 – 64 on another. It’s that easy!

Alternatively I could have compressed the one file as a zip file but I chose to leave as is and send in two parts.

It will depend on what is easiest for you.
