Saving and Storing Your Manuscript
To save and store your manuscript there are a range of word processors available. Some are free, others can be purchased by monthly or quarterly subscription. Alternatively you can buy the full desk top version via download or disc.
MICROSOFT OFFICE (any version)
Download – Current Version available (Buy or Subscribe to Office 365)
Open Office is available for free download but has limited editing features.
If you are setting up your book in Word you will need a full version to be able to convert to PDF format for printing.
Formatting Your Manuscript
Typesetting and Formatting advice:
Some sound tips on how to format your manuscript for publication prior to embarking on your book page set up. Look for the tips on font type and size, margins and spacing as they are particularly useful.
Converting Your PDF Book Page Files
To make your files print ready you need access to editing tools in the full version. Free versions do not allow access to these tools. Therefore you will need to subscribe to the program or a similar one for a minimum one month subscription to convert files.
